Y’ALL. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. SAMURAI PIZZA CATS IS BACK.  And no, I’m not talking about some random rerun or nostalgia cash grab – we’re getting a full-blown game. I literally cannot even make this up.

A Samurai Pizza Cats Game in 2024? Yeah, You Heard That Right

Developer Blast Zero and publisher Red Dunes Games just pulled off the ultimate nostalgia flex. To celebrate 35 freakin’ years of the legendary anime, they’re bringing us Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From the Past – a brand-new 2D action-RPG based on the iconic 90s cartoon that had us all glued to our screens.

And guess what? It’s coming to ALL major platforms. No console wars, no “exclusive nonsense” – just pure Samurai Pizza Cats goodness for everyone.

The OG Voice Cast Is BACK, Baby

Oh, you thought they were just slapping some generic voice actors on this? Absolutely not. They’re bringing back some of the original English cast:

• Rick Jones as Cerviche
• Sonja Ball as Polly Esther
• Terrence Scammell as Guido Anchovy & Narrator
• Dean Hagopian as Seymour “The Big” Cheese

Rockstar move. Absolute legends.

Gameplay? Swapping, Slashing, Solving Puzzles – All in Little Tokyo

From what we’ve seen in the trailer, this is a full-on action-RPG where you can switch between your favorite Samurai Pizza Cats on the fly, each with their own unique abilities for combat and puzzle-solving. Little Tokyo is the playground, and we’re here for it.

Also, there’s combat footage in the trailer. If you haven’t watched it yet, what are you even doing?

Early Development – But You Can Wishlist It Now

Yeah, we know – the game is still in early development (which means we might have to wait a hot minute before we can actually play it), but you can already wishlist it on Steam. And honestly? You should. Because games like this don’t come around every day.

Final Thoughts: This Is The Comeback We Needed

2024 is wild. Samurai Pizza Cats is making a comeback. The OG voice cast is here. An action-RPG where we get to swap between the squad, fight bad guys, and cause absolute chaos in Little Tokyo? I don’t know who at Blast Zero pitched this idea, but give them a raise.
